Minimum age for scuba diving

Since the new laws of diving have been brought in there is no minimum age for diving in the Canary Islands. But as we are a Padi dive centre our age restrictions are as follows:

• For children between the ages of 8 to 10 years, they are able to dive only in a pool like environment
• For children between the ages of 10 to 12 years, they are able to dive in the sea to a maximum depth of 12m
• For everyone over the age of 12 there are no depth restrictions, other than of your qualifications
